A unique activity for all types of event

Red Hands Flying Trapeze is based in the UK and offers flying trapeze at events and festivals around Europe and worldwide. We have a great deal of experience in numerous types of events including corporate fun days, Scout and Guide Jamborees and high profile international events like the Bahrain Grand Prix.

What is flying trapeze?

Flying trapeze is an impressive activity, drawing its roots from circus traditions, that will be the focal point of your event and is sure to be popular with your guests, whether they choose to take part or just sit back and watch. It is a fun and challenging experience that everyone can enjoy! Red Hands will teach your guests to fly like professional circus artists and perhaps even make a catch, all on our impressive structure and above our huge safety net. Flying Trapeze is more than a fairground ride and each participant will be given individual training from our friendly, experienced instructors.

How do our events work?

We will arrive the day before the event to set up our equipment, which takes a full day. After the event, the take-down takes half a day. During the event, we primarily offer two styles of participation, although we are happy to adapt our activity to suit your requirements:

Single Turns

Participants queue up for single turns on the trapeze on a first-come-first-served basis. Everyone gets a turn on the practice bar on the ground before climbing up for a go on the flying trapeze. During the event, depending on numbers, we will give students who have successfully completed their trick the opportunity to make a catch. These regular catching sessions often attract many spectators who cheer the students on. This format has worked best for us at large events like Glastonbury and the Sheffield MayFest, since it gives a large number of people the opportunity to participate at least once.

Classes are best for smaller events, and allow each participant to have several turns on the trapeze within a time period. Each class lasts for between 90 minutes and two hours, with around 10-15 people. Our classes are designed to give your visitors the best learning experience, most time in the air, and of course the most fun! Our instructors will tailor the class experience around individual participants, allowing them to get the maximum benefit from the time.

Health & Safety

The safety of your guests is extremely important to us, and we will do everything we can to make their experience with us as safe and enjoyable as possible.

From the moment participants leave the ground to climb up the ladder for the first time, they will be wearing a safety belt, attached to safety lines. During their flight, they will have a safety harness at all times, and our safety net always ensures a soft, comfortable landing.

We have a safety board which we require all participants to read before starting the activity.

We have a comprehensive Public Liability Insurance policy, details of which can be provided on request, along with our Health and Safety Policies and Risk Assessments.
